Tools & Equipment
Cordless drills, saws, ladders, generators and site gear — from trade sellers with real jobs behind them.
Tools and equipment covers hand tools, power tools, battery gear, ladders, generators, compressors, extension leads, work lights, tarps, wheelbarrows, dust extractors, and site tools. Tools genuinely wear out (or break, or get lost off site), but there's also a lot of "bought the wrong voltage" and "grandfather's shed clean-out" surplus.
Common items: cordless drills and impact drivers (Milwaukee M18, DeWalt XR, Makita LXT — battery-compatible platforms), circular saws, angle grinders, mitre saws, air compressors and nailers, extension ladders, trestle sets, LED work lights, jump starters, and generators. Diagnostic gear for sparkies and plumbers (multimeters, thermal cameras).
Prices vary wildly with brand and age. A used Milwaukee tool holds value; a no-name tool goes for scrap. Batteries deteriorate — check the year of manufacture (dated on the pack) and buy tools with young batteries, or plan to replace batteries separately.
Test everything before you drive. Inspect the tool with power or battery attached where possible — cordless tools should spin freely and hold a charge for a demo run.
